Chocolate Flavours and Emotions Tasting Event

chocolate flavours and emotions title slide 360What emotions do chocolates create? Can you change your chocolate preferences? What does your favourite chocolate say about you? Can you generate a new emotional association to a flavour? Chocolatiers Drs Hanna and Howard Frederick also discuss their secret "Treasure Island of Chocolate" which they found in the Pacific in Samoa.

This event is for minimum of four people and is performed with either Fine Wines or Fresh Fruit Juices. Price for the Chocolate &\& Wine event is : $45 per person. Price for the Chocolate and Fresh Juice event is $35.

Each person receives six small numbered tasting cups arranged in a row to attract the sight and smell. In them you will find chocolate bits or callets (“chocolate chips”) so that you cannot recognise them by shape. Mámor picks these morsels from their chocolate laboratory using French, Belgian and Australian chocolates. The Fine Wines or Fresh Fruit Juices stand tall behind them in blind, numbered tasting bags covering up their personality characteristics. Each person receives a copy of the Guidelines with recommendations for selections, but don’t be afraid to experiment. Participants also receive a Chocolate Flavour Wheel developed by Mámor Chocolates dividing taste and aroma into vegetable, flowery, fruity, roasted, nutty, and spicy categories. A Tasting Card with golf pencil allows participants to enter their best estimates of flavours and then to draw arrows between the promising matches.

Pairing Wine with Chocolate: The Sweet Dilemma

Chocolate FilmChocolate FilmMámor has launched its Chocolate and Wine Pairing game in Melbourne that matches personality elements of wine and chocolate, just like a matchmaker would match a love couple. The party begins with delectable Mámor chocolates and wines in in numbered tasting bags. You'll have a short "Chocolate and Wine Tasting Guidelines" plus the Mámor Chocolate Flavour Wheel (shown). After tasting each wine and chocolate, guests write their descriptions on "scorecards". Engaging conversation is guaranteed, and everyone will leave with a better grasp of the facets of wine tasting and chocolate pairing. MORE
